Brilliant cottage: review by steve
A group of us twenty-somethings booked this cottage for a long weekend over the Bank Holiday. Partly to "get away from it all" and partly to relax with some friends of ours who would soon be returning to America.
The cottage accommodated us completely. There was plenty of space (the kitchen is huge), some really lovely bedrooms and a great games room we made almost constant use of. The place was spotless and had every facility we needed. The location is fantastic, right near the Mourne Moutains, and the local Spar shop being so close was very handy.
We all heartily recommend this cottage and should the occasion arise we will very likely come back to it. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

A fantastic place to stay: Review by captain
From the point of initial contact with the owner; the service was first class. We were met at the house and shown around; and were given a very nice "Welcome Pack" to start our stay (Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Milk, Bread, Butter, Cheese, Ham, eggs) which was very welcome.
We were visiting to attend our Sons' Wedding in Newry, accompanied by both our other two Sons, our other Daughter in Law and our two Grandsons; plus my Brother in Law. Six Adults and two Children in all, with our Grandaughter joining us for one night; to be with her Cousins after the Wedding!
All of the rooms were bright and clean, the kitchen and dining area was impressive; with an adjoining Sunroom/Conservatory. Having two main bedrooms on the ground floor en-suite; plus a bathroom on each floor was perfect. What a bonus when we all had to get ready for the Wedding on the Sat Morning!
The local Petrol Station/Spar store is within 700 metres and has a great selection of Groceries, Wine and Beer and both hot and cold foods! Brilliant if you can't be bothered cooking breakfast!!
If you are thinking about travelling to, and exploring the Mourne area in a large Family/Friends group; this is the place to stay!

Excellent House with everything we needed: Review by Lee Rowing Club
Travelled with 8 athletes who were taking part in Irish National Rowing Trials in Newry. The house worked very well for us. The pool table helped to keep the atmosphere relaxed over a very intense competitive weekend.

Home Away From Home!: Review by albertagirl
My parents, brothers and I were fortunate enough to call the Mourne Country Lodge home for 10 days. Because of the length of our trip to Northern Ireland, we wanted to stay somewhere where we could really make ourselves comfortable. This was the place!
We had plenty of room to spread out and loved that we could set our own pace here. We travelled from Canada and felt so welcome upon arrival. The rooms were extremely comfortable and spacious.
We loved the location of the store within walking distance of the cottage, so many wonderful reasons to make this vacation home a top choice!

Really does fit 12 people!: Review by royal mummy
Travelled to this accommodation for a weekend with 2 other families. In total there were 12 of us, 6 adults and 6 children. From the minute we walked in we found the house to be perfect. Plenty of room for all of us. The playroom, toys and especially the dress up costumes were an instant hit with the kids and they all had a ball. We could not fault any aspect of the accommodation. Booking through this wonderful website was incredibly easy and the owner couldn't have been more helpful.
